Heritage signage on the scaffold up the Spire at Christ Church

Heritage Conservation Restoration are pleased to have secured their first project at Christ Church, a Grade II listed building located locally in Friezland.

Externally, the work will include a full rake out and repoint of the Spire, Tower and West Gable, as well as renewing the Lead Back Gutter on the Tower. Internally, Dry Rot Repairs will be carried out, as well as the hacking off and full re-plaster to the West Gable wall. Traditional Lime Plaster will be used to maintain the historic look of the existing décor, but also as this is the best suited material and what has been specified by the Architects Kepczyk Pearce Sanderson Limited.

A scaffold has been constructed around the West Gable, Tower/Spire and internally to allow for the plaster repairs. The work began in May 2019 and is due to be completed end of September 2019, and is Heritage Lottery funded.
