Working alongside Buttress Architects, Heritage Conservation Restoration have been awarded Internal and External restoration works at St Mary’s, a Grade I listed Church in North Manchester. Christian Worship has been offered here for over 800 years, and the works are part of a wider project taking place at the church; “St Mary’s Prestwich: Sustaining and Promoting our Heritage”, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Diocese of Manchester.

Externally, the Wilton Chapel will be re-roofed, as well as Masonry and Repointing Repairs to the North, West and South Elevations of the Church. The Clocks will be re-gilded and repainted which will be carried out by rope access. The works internally will include plastering and redecoration of the Lady Chapel.

The project is due to commence September 2019, and last approximately 16 weeks.

Side note: St Mary’s has featured on Coronation Street several times!
